Here are my thoughts and suggestions:

Of course both are important for developing knowledge and fluency in a foreign language. Both reading and listening have advantages and disadvantages. Since listening is related to speaking in terms of their aural qualities, listening can help you with pronunciation, intonation, and pacing.
