In short, the answer is YES! It is very important to always give a firm handshake when you meet someone for the first time. This gives a very good first impression. Here are some of the comments I hear from students everyday:

  • “I’m so nervous when I meet someone new, I don’t know what to say.”
  • “I don’t know how to start a conversation naturally.”
  • “I can introduce myself, but I have no idea how to continue a conversation.”
