Kaplan International Colleges is holding a competition for language bloggers to answer the question: “What is the most important benefit of learning a language?” The prizes for this competition include a MacBook Air or a Kaplan English language course in Edinburgh.
The name of the competition is The Inspire Language Learning
blogger contest and it asks bloggers to write about what they think the main benefit of learning a language is: love, travel, money, or intelligence?
The deadline for entry into the competition is October 26th and the entries will be judged by a prestigious panel including actor, writer and travel adventurer Charley Boorman, multi-linguist blogger Benny Lewis, and author and English teacher Tara Benwell. The top three bloggers will have their entries read by the panel and the winner will be decided.
To vote for your favorite entry, you can click on the Facebook like button as soon as it is published. You can also vote on the competition page between October 29th and November 9th. The top 3 vote-getters will have their entries read by the judging panel.
The winner will be announced on November 19th and will have their choice of a new MacBook Air or a Kaplan English course in Edinburgh. The second place winner will receive an iPod Touch and the third place winner will receive and iPod Nano.
